Osun Officials Kidnapped in Kogi Freed

Three officials of the Osun State Government who were kidnapped have been released by their abductors.

Adebimpe Ogunlumade, the Permanent Secretary of Osun State Ministry of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, was kidnapped on Friday alongside her driver, Oladapo Ajani, and a director from the ministry, Tajudeen Badejoko.

The Head of Service in Osun, Sunday Owoeye, announced on Sunday that the three people who were kidnapped in Kogi State were released on Sunday evening.

“Arrangements are now being made to convey them to Osogbo within the shortest possible time by security agents with a view to re-uniting them with their families and relations,” he said in a statement posted by an aide to Governor Rauf Aregbesola on facebook.

The statement did not provide details of how they were freed.
