KOGI HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY! Normalcy Returns With Each Sitting


Contrary to the expectations of many that the Kogi State House of Assembly would be
taken over ultimately today , there speculations and expectations were dashed as the Kogi state house of Assembly sat today 15 th of March 2016, presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon. Umar Ahmed Imam.

The Business of the Assembly is being conducted in a peaceful atmosphere and so far two far reaching motions have been moved on the Floor. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, Member, Representing Ankpa I Constituency moved a Motion of urgent importance on the rationale behind the stoppage of work on the rehabilitation of Ankpa Township Road and urged the State Government to direct the Contractor to move to site.
Another Motion by Hon. Idoko Moses, Minority Whip and Member, Dekina Biraudu on a Motion Appealing to the State Government to pay Workers Salaries while the staff screening is being conducted simultaneously.
