Kogi Election Petition Tribunal Throws Out Wada / Awoniyi's case


Today at the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal sitting at the Federal High Court in Jabi Abuja, upheld the election of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi 
State while the the PDP duo of Wada / Awoniyi who are challenging his emergence as Governor had their case thrown out for lack of substantial merit. It would be recalled that the same Tribunal struck out the case of Hon Abiodun Faleke of APC who was also challenging the emergence of Governor Yahaya Bello yesterday for lack of merit. 

Below are excerpts from the Tribunal ruling of Justice Halima, the presiding Judge of the case

Wada-Awoniyi does not have locus standing to challenge the nomination of another party candidate, since he's not a member of the APC.

PDP_Wada-Awoniyi Petition fail be pleading of 3 ground on a joint plead instead of one plead and sort 2 others should be sort in a alternative plea.
It mean, Wada plead was contradictory and Tribunal is not a father Christmas nor a football training ground, so his plead lack merit.

Electoral laws are blind to card reader, so issues raised by Wada/Awoniyi on card reader stands dismissd

The tribunal said the 21day period for the substitution of candidate do not apply since yahaya Bello is a member of APC and haven come 2nd in the primary.
